Help and privacy for Pentimento — the studio companion for painters

Pentimento is built for artists who want a private, on-device record of their work. The honest privacy policy is the short one.

On your device. Your pieces, progress photos, collections, consignment and sale records, and settings stay in the app’s local storage and never leave your phone unless you export them yourself with the Backup feature.
Progress photos you add are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere — there is no server.
There are no analytics, no tracking pixels, no crash-reporting SDKs, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers in Pentimento.
The one-time Pentimento Unlimited purchase is handled entirely by Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes the payment; we only ever see the anonymized aggregate sales reports Apple provides in App Store Connect.
If a future feature ever needs to send data off your device — for example, optional cloud sync — this policy will be updated and the feature will sit behind your explicit consent in the app. We will never quietly start collecting data.
